Atlantis Rising: SJ Mueller on DC Universe Online’s Atlantis Update
DC Universe Online is among the very successful DC Universe Online Cash on the market. Throughout New York Comic Con, Geek talked with DC Universe Online Creative Director, SJ Mueller concerning the Atlantis update, what gamers can expect from the upgrade and how it changes things up to your game. Mueller also spoke about DCUO’s durability and the things it does to help keep the game fresh for both long-time and new lovers.
It’s coming out in November… obviously since there’s a specific movie coming out shortly. We’re just as excited about the Aquaman film as everyone else is, such as DC and all the fans. It’s our 33rd episode. We’ve had several over the last few years and they simply keep getting better and bigger. Among the interesting things buy Dcuo cash we have begun doing about a year ago is, rather than designing it to your own highest-level MMO gamers, it’s actually available to everybody level 10 and up.
So today after a couple of minutes you may jump into the most recent content which, in my opinion, is the best stuff we’ve made. We have got all of the typical things that we’ve placed into episodes. There is a open world, there’s raids, there is smaller content, stuff like that.
What can players expect to find when they visit the city? This is actually the first time we have gone to Atlantis. We’ve assembled the city. It’s an great open-world, one of the biggest ones we’ve done since the game started. It’s big enough where I expect we can swim down there another time. We get to enter a lot of places in town and things like that also.
